Thank you letter - We managed to spread our positive energy!
For over a year now, we have been living in a "topsy-turvy world", everything is different and we have to keep restructuring, discarding habits or reinventing ourselves. Unfortunately, holidays like Christmas and Easter are not exempt and so this year we also have to deal with the new regulations and reinvent the celebration as we know it.
An endless kind of pause we find ourselves in and the biggest question "When will they press play again?". The frustration, sadness and despair is great, everyone from small to big, young to old, is struggling with the pandemic and its consequences in very different ways but one thing unites us - holidays like Easter: a celebration of resurrection and love.
Our idea: We want to spread positive energy, signal "Hang in there!" and most importantly - conjure up a smile on your lips in these very grey days, in keeping with the Cologne motto "Et hätt noch jot jejange!".
To this end, we have quickly decided to turn our 1968 Morris Minor Traveller Woodie into a "rolling Easter egg" aka #KukuksEgg on Monday, after the announcement of the new lockdown regulations.
As early as 1986, Klaus distributed Easter bells in his Ford Transit bus to customers, friends and family and put a smile on their faces. We have continued this tradition ever since, whether at Christmas, the end of the year or at Easter - we want to say thank you and spread good cheer. This year too, we are on the road with our Oldie, visiting our customers, new and old, kindergartens and schools and saying thank you!
Every smile, every wave, an exchange of warmth and neighbourly love - a beautiful feeling, which we spread again & further over the Easter days. For this purpose, the children of our staff and from the neighbourhood painted Easter eggs, carved two bunnies out of wood, painted them and we transformed our Morris into a "rolling Easter egg" - the #KukuksEi. A colourful vehicle that has already attracted a lot of attention and put smiles on faces over the past few days.

A custom we love very much and continued this year over New Year. Here we decorated our Morris Minor with Group 4 "Good Year" tyres, added 2021 and drove around for 4 weeks in everyday life (Last Christmas - Kukuk's Christmastour 2020 & Last Christmas - Kukuk's Christmastour on motorbikes 2020 & New Year 2021 - Happy Good Year Tour).

Every smile, every wave, an exchange of warmth and neighbourly love - it was worth it and this is exactly the feeling we want to spread again & further over the Easter days. For this purpose, the children of our staff and from the neighbourhood painted Easter eggs, carved and painted two bunnies out of wood and we transformed our Morris into a "rolling Easter egg". A colourful vehicle that has already attracted a lot of attention and put smiles on faces over the past few days.
Our idea for the tightened lockdown days next week: We want to place the "rolling Easter egg" twice a day at other places in Cologne and start a kind of "Easter egg hunt".
