Castrol has developed the "Classic Oil" range for the special requirements of classic car engines. The range consists of oils according to today's state of the art and was specially produced for the needs of classic vehicles. The engines of classic vehicles are not comparable to the successor models of today. The load limits are much lower - which is why suitable oils are of functional importance.
Like mechanical parts, lubricants are vital design elements for the engine. In this sense, the "Classic Oils" are adapted to the needs of earlier aggregates as well as the white metals, non-ferrous metal alloys and sealing elements used in them.
- Castrol Classic Oil XL SAE 30
Mineral oil-based monograde engine oil for classic engines (also without oil filter) that require a mild or unalloyed engine oil.
- Castrol Classic Oil GP SAE 50
Mineral oil-based monograde engine oil for classic engines (also without oil filter) that require a mild or unalloyed engine oil. Cannot be used at outside temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius.
- Castrol Classic Oil XL SAE 20W-50
Mineral oil-based multigrade engine oil for engine technology from the 50s with oil filter. The oil is the link between the
mildly alloyed monograde engine oils and the highly additivated, modern lubricants.
