Transfer of the principles of workshop risk to the expert (expert risk); The VI. Civil Senate, which is also responsible for legal disputes arising from accidents, has transferred the principles on workshop risk developed in its judgments of 16 January 2024 - VI ZR 253/22 and VI ZR 239/22 (press release no. 7/2024) to excessive cost estimates of an expert commissioned by the injured party to assess their vehicle to determine the accident-related damage.

Both are on four wheels - that's all they have in common for now. Vehicle technology engineer Laura Kukuk is in demand worldwide as an expert on classic cars and is convinced of their sustainability. Daniel Zellinger from FlixBus swears by modern buses as a more environmentally friendly alternative to cars. Where is the journey going? To the same destination, actually. A conversation about the mobility of tomorrow.

Christophorus: Vintage car detective

At just 30 years of age, she's a member of the jury of the prestigious Concorso d'Eleganza competition, and her expertise in classic cars is in high demand the world over. Engineer Laura Kukuk marches to the beat of her own drum in the traditional automotive scene.

Le Mans Classic 2023

100th Anniversary: The Le Mans Classic is, of course, devoted entirely to sports cars unlike other major historic meetings such as Goodwood, Silverstone or Laguna Seca. The main body of the meeting is what the French called the Plateau, the six groups for cars of defined periods, starting with 1923 to 1939. Each of the six groups raced three times during the two days - once on Saturday, then in the night and again on Sunday. Most had an astounding grid of over seventy cars.

Concorso d'Eleganza VDE 2023

The classic form of the event ended in 1952. In the mid-1980s it was revived, and today it is run by German manufacturer BMW.

A magnificent place to work

The spectrum ranged from rarities from the 1920s, a time when aesthetics started influencing car design in addition to functional considerations, to the spectacularly designed hypercars from the future. As part of the jury, we spend months before the event meticulously researching each car and documenting our findings. Obviously, we focus on the groups or cars assigned to us and exchange information among our jury group.
